Hi Mission Trippers!

Have been printing the blog & reading it offline, but this is my first reading online. Haven’t even had a chance to look at any photos yet. It sounds like an amazing trip. Nice job reporting, Kory!

I’m so sorry I won’t be at the dinner Sunday night; I’m really going to miss hearing about your experiences. I really had a great time listening last year! I hope Kory’s PowerPoint, if he does one, will be available to see later.

Glad you all got a chance to do some sightseeing. As Kory was describing the sights, some of them sounded familiar. I was in New Orleans just before Katrina hit (I left 10 days prior). I’ve wondered what happened to all of the people I met when I was there.

I know the families you’re helping, and the church, must be very grateful for all you are doing for them. How often does one get 26 sets of hands to help. It reallys is hard sometimes, too, having downtime; but it is truly part of the process.

I’ve been praying for you this week; I hope you have felt God’s presence as you worked. I’ll be on vacation when you return, but will definitely look forward to seeing everyone when I return.

How do you find time to do any work with all the blogging and picture taking?? Just kidding. I think I did see you in one of those pictures with a hammer or something in your hand.

Seriously, I hope you are not overworking yourself. I worry about you, you know. (that is what slightly older aunts are supposed to do.)

Sounds like a great experience. You and Haylie will have to share stories when you guys are here.

This is great! It is such a joy to hear what you all have been doing each day. I especially love the picture of Sean and Dee on the porch - to me the picture captures the overwhelming sense of loss people in New Orleans must have. Thankfully, people like you are keeping the hearts of people like Dee soft and open to God’s works. Blessings to all of you!

Kory - about your wifi hot spot…are you keeping your skills current in sorting and folding the laundry there, too?
